About Us
Hi! My name is Hunter. I was raised on Grand Manan Island and I’m recently finished studying Business, and Climate and Environment at St. Francis Xavier University. I have always dreamed of creating amazing accommodations on the island, and in my first year of university I decided to make that dream happen. As my professor taught about business plans, I built one of my own. By second semester, I submitted the plan to CBDC Charlotte County for funding, had my application approved, and was able to create my first geodome: The Michael Dome!
Park Place Retreats is focused on Environmental Sustainability and providing an amazing experience to our guests. The environment was taken into consideration every step of the way when building The Michael Dome. From the organic cotton towels, mattress and bedding, to the bamboo toilet paper products, everything in the dome was placed there with the environment in mind.
